As a translator, my goal is to produce clean, engaging English copy that doesn’t read like a translation.

A thorough researcher and rereader, I translate everything from academic papers and film scripts to project proposals and menus.

My clients include agencies as well as businesses, institutions and individuals from a wide variety of sectors.

I always translate from German or Spanish into English.

Localization, also known as transcreation, is a cross between translation and copywriting.

In the case of advertisements, websites, slogans, brochures or any form of marketing communications, a conventional translation is often not enough to effectively get a message across. That’s where localization comes in.

Drawing on my language skills and cultural knowledge, I work with clients to create localized content that truly resonates with their target audience.

I always do localizations from German or Spanish into English.

With a keen ear and a sharp eye, I am well-versed in copyediting, proofreading and correcting texts written by native and non-native English speakers alike.

I work with practically any kind of text imaginable: from large-scale publications, scientific papers or legal documents to artist statements, newsletters or brochures.

I always edit in English.

I have been translating for ten years and copyediting for twenty. Building on two degrees in literature as well as my journalistic experience, I am a resourceful writer who can pick up terminologies quickly and work with many types of prose. Having lived in Europe for years, I am also sensitive to the differences between UK and US English.
